Frequently Asked Questions - Initial Level

The courses that make up the Initial Level are:


- Nursery (2 years old until August 25, 2024).

- Pre Kinder (3 years old until August 25, 2024).

· Kinder (4 years old until August 25, 2024).

- First of Basic (5 years old until August 25, 2024).

- 2 nursery classrooms
- 2 Pre Kindergarten classrooms.
- 3 Kindergarten classrooms.
- 4 classrooms of First of Basic.

The schedule for the entrance and dismissal of the Initial section (Nursery, Pre Kinder, Kinder and First of Basic) is from: 8:00 to 12:45hrs.

· - In the Nursery and Pre-Kinder section there are 2 teachers per classroom.


· - In the Kindergarten and First of Basic sections there is 1 teacher per classroom and
one rotating assistant. In addition, there is an English teacher.
All of them have their Early Childhood Education degree and the English teachers (B2 and C1 certification). (certificación B2 y C1).

Yes, we have the DECE department team with a psychologist and a psychopedagogue, who provide support to our students.

In Early Childhood Education, no curricular adaptations are made, since all children must develop skills and/or abilities that are indispensable and necessary for formal learning in Basic Education.

Academic Questions

Yes, our students from kindergarten onwards have daily English classes.

2 or 3 hours a day depending on the section.

At the Early Level we use an inquiry and constructivist methodology, our students have the opportunity to be inquirers, thinkers, informed and educated children, among other attributes. 

From Pre Kindergarten onwards we have the IB Primary School Program (PYP); they acquire knowledge and skills through play, taking care of their emotional, physical, social and cognitive wellbeing.

We work in inquiry centers that enhance students' abilities and interests. They learn in our spontaneous way according to their needs, being the protagonists of their own learning.

We do not offer extracurricular classes at the preschool level. From 2nd grade onwards there are sports activities and activities in different disciplines such as dance, music, art, theater, among others. This may vary from year to year.

Extracurriculars have no additional cost.

The disciplines are distributed by levels:

  • Basic education: Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • Secondary: Mondays and Tuesdays.

In our curriculum we have the subject of CHRISTIAN FORMATION, with Catholic orientation, starting in 2nd EGB, but different worship is respected.

The students of Inicial go through a long period of adaptation, with the support of teachers and parents.

Yes, we have Cambridge certification obtaining the B2 in secondary, PYP and MYP Secondary. 

We have Cambridge certifications. In 5th grade students obtain the MOVERS certificate, in 7th grade the FLYERS certificate and in 10th grade the PET certificate. Our vision is that our students finish 2nd grade obtaining a B2 certification.
